Snyder Announces Run for Mayor

"I have chosen to seek the position of mayor because I am passionate about the future of our city," said Snyder as she was surrounded by family, friends and supporters at the Washington City Hall where she made the announcement.

"I have been preparing to run for this office for some time now, learning all I can about economic development and the city's budgetary processes. I am excited about the opportunity to work with our city council, Daviess County officials and all stakeholders to bring growth and opportunity to our city," said Snyder, adding that with the opening of Interstate 69, she believes the community is on the verge of the largest economic growth seen in decades. "I am excited to see where this growth will take us, especially for our children and grandchildren."
